Patient given treatment via internet / Tele-Communication Program with Rikshospitalet, Oslo, Norway

This patient's name is Mrs. Shamina.  She lives in a village some distance from Karhari center. This woman came to our clinic ( I was not there that day), but later on, when I heard about it, I called her, and she came to Beswan clinic.  She was so sick at that time that she was not able to walk, so we had to send the hospital jeep. When I saw her, I was almost sorry that I had asked her to come, because she was so sick and in a very bad shape, and I really did not believe that we could help her.

We have a Telecommunication Program together with The Rikshospitalet in Norway, and because of that we came in contact with Dr. Claus Lutzow-Holm there, so she got proper treatment and was getting well.  We started the treatment in December 2003. She still need some treatment from time to time, but are fairly well now.  The family, in laws, had decided to set her out in the wood (jungel) and set her afire.  She is still coming to Karhari clinic at least every 14. days or so. The happy faces both from the patient and the village people when she got well, it was amacing to see.  I visited her home for sevar weeks after i "found" her.

Shamina the first time I saw her, that was on December 17. 2003

I visted her weekly after that, and this picture is taken on December 30th, 2003

We saw a good progress, and this picture was taken 3. February 2004.

This picture was taken 26. July 2006.  She is well, and happy.  She has also returned to her husband's and son's family.  She needs some treatment and support from time to time.
