The Day Care Center

The Day Care Center is a place where the children loves to be.  It is open 6 days in the week, and the parents are telling that they can hardly keep the children home on the Sunday.   This is a clean and nice place, where the children learn to brush the teeth, wash the hands, and eat in a proper manner.

They have a lot of nice playing equiments as you can see on the pictures, cycles an so on so the children play happily. They get a glass of milk, and a simple meal of food.

The children also learn some ABC, some stories, poems etc., as this is considered important here in India.

The children can attend the Day Care Center from the age of 1 year, if they can walk, and will stay till the age of 4 years, as this is the time when they will go to school.

Nurse Aid & Child Health Workers Training

The 4 months Training course for the Nurse Aid Trainees, is a course which was started around 1990.  It was started beacuse that was the time when we started the village projects, and at that time it was rather difficult to find trained people who could work with us on the projects, and even worse, to find women trained for deliveries.

The women who wants to take this course should have taken High School (10th. Class), but very often we take women who does not have this much, if we see that she really need this course.

This training is actually made so women can go back to the villages and work, and it is also made for the poor women.  Mostly the women coming for this course are alone mothers, so they need a job, to take care of them selves and the family.

These women are first of all to be helpers for nurses or doctors.  They need to be able to learn simple procedures in the hospitals / clinics, like Blood Pressure, Temperture, Pulse etc.

During the time they take the course, they need to stay at the center in Mursan, attend to duty, deliveries etc, and go along to other clinics and camps.

We are proud to say that they get a good training.   At the end of the training they need to take an excam, and they will  also get a Diploma.
