HIV/AIDS Building

This building var ready in February 2004.  On the two pictures above you can see that on the left picture is what was on this place before, an old garage and a store, with a lot of junk, not for anything actually.

The HIV building was inaugurated by Mrs. Christian (Mrs. Bishop) and Mrs. Rev. Tove Odland, our Mission secretary from Norway.  This was a big and nice day for us.

Since this building was new it took long time before a HIV+ women delivered a baby here, the first time was 24. April 2008.    We have tilll now delivered several Hepatittis B and C here, so it has been used.

The counseling room is frequently used, and also very usefull, and we use it for  meetings as well as all things in the connection of HIV Program and DOT Program.

The first year we had 2 deliveries, both HIV+, but due to problems like FHS (Fetal Hearth rate) dropping etc., we had to send both to Methodist Hsopital Mathura, where we had sat up a HIV/AIDS delievry room and OT for HIV operations.  The babies was delivered by Caserian Section, and both children are HIVnegative.
