The church, Bishop and the pastor

The church in Mursan was built in 1984, and it was a gift from the Youth fellowship in The Methodist Church in Norway.  We have always been getting a pastor from the Agra Regional Conference, the conference we belongs to. At present we dot have any pastor, as the pastor we had was tranferred due to his own  family problems.

The picture over in the middle is our Bishop S.S. Singh, when he visited us in March 2008, together with Rev. Sylvester Massey D.S. and Executive Secretary of Agra regional Conferance, who also have the pastoral responsibility here.  He will visit our church every month, and on that Sunday it is also Holy Communion.

We have had several pastors during the years, but at present, (2008) we do not have any, but instead we have 2 evangelists, and they are really doing a good job.

In the church it is Sunday Service every Sunday at 10.00 Hrs.  The other Sundays are taken care of by The two Evangelists we have, Mrs. Pushpa Sinha and Mr. Jonathan Lall.

The Evangelists

In our institution we have in all 4 evangelists. They are taken care of all the religious work here,  as told above, the second Sunday in the month Rev. Sylvester Massey is coming to Mursan to have the Holy Communion.

The evangelists are taking care of all the prayers etc. being held in the centres.  In Mursan center it is 2 evangelists, Mrs. Pushpa Sinha and Mr. Jonathan Lall.

In Karhari Mr. Peter Masih is appointed and in beswan Mr. Dinesh Masih is appointes.

They will be rsponsible for that the church is ready on the Sundays, and they will also be responsible for the morning prayer  as well as the eveing prayer held on the centres.  Theirs salary are coming from the Scholarship fund, as we are not allowed to use NORAD funds for religious work.

The churches in Beswan and Karhari

These two small churches in Beswan and Karhari are in close cooperation to the Methodist Chapel in Mursan.   The evangelists in Beswan and Karhari are taken care of all the activities in these two centres.

Beside the Sunday service in the church, they also take care of the morning prayer in the clinics, and there are also an evening prayer twice in the week, in all the three centers.

It is their job to be presnt when there are any camp etc. to start the meetings with a prayer, and also go with the tam to the villages, distribute pampleths and talk with the people about GOD.
