Anti Polio Camp (Pulse Polio)

These camps are held regular by the Government, and they have always a booth in our clinic in Mursan.  Mostly the DM will come to open for Hathras in our clinic.  Many, many children from Mursan will attend and get anti polio vaccine.  They also give the children some baloons etc that day.

Sterilization Camps for women

Sterlization camps for women is something we have together with the local Government in Mursan and Hathras.  From Hathras the team from the District Hospital will come, and we arrange about 5-6 such camps every year, mostly during the cold season.

Last year, during 2007 we operated close to 500 women.  This is a big arrangement, as in one day we sometime will operate 100 patients.

The patients are coming from Mursan as well as from other places in Hathras District, and even from Beswan and Karhari patients are coming.

The patients know that our clinic and center are clean and nice, so that is why they prefer to have the operation done here.

Vasectomy / sterlization for men.

We have only had one of these camps, and that was done in January 2007

We operated only 5 men, and even this was a big task, to motivate these men  It was a team from Mathura , as Hathras does not have a surgion for this.

Eye check up and operation camps

For these camps we have questions 2-3 times during the year, both from Government and private hospitals / doctors.

The check up are free, and the team coming also bring with them medicines to the patients.  If operations are done, the people arranging the camps will also try to use a school, so the patients can stay there for a few days.

General Health Camps

These camps are arranged and paid for by private groups, like some shops, or other institutions.  These camps might be held 2-3 times during the year, mostly on a Sunday.

These camps are also free of cost for the patients, and it is very popular.  It is importan to do a lot of advertisement before the camp, so as many as possible will get help that day.  These camps are for generally public.
