HIV Ward for deliveries and operations

In Mathura, on the High Way, in NIRPHAD's center, we have a 4 rooms ward for deliveries of HIV+ patients.  The problem is that we do not have a place to do these things, as nobody are willing to do HIV+ operations in any hospital

We ahev however done to caserian sections operations in Methodist Hospital during 2004, and we are happy to inform about that both the baies are HIV negative.

In Chatikara (Nirphad) we have sat up a such ward, and we want the hospitals /doctors in Mathura to utilize these wards.

NIRPHAD Ward for deliveries

This ward is rented by NIRPHAD, and we hope that hospital / doctors in Mathura will usethis ward, or send suspected cases for HIV to us.

It has been difficult so far, and we know that most of the hospitals do not test for HIV, or if they do, they do it secretly, and send the patients off if they are found HIV+.

It is a Couselling room attached to this ward also. 

In SJSH Hospital in the connection of the Refinery Mathura we also have a counselling room, and even tried to set up an operation teather for HIV+ patients

Operations of HIV+ pregnant women.

During 2004 after we had set up an HIV+ delivery room and operation room, both for HIV+ women, in Methodist Hospital, Mathura, we had 2 caecerian sections.  This was and are important to have, as very few doctors are willing to take these operations.

We had these operations, and we are very happy to tell that both the babies are today HIV negative, and both are well.  However, the mother to one of the babies are getting ill now, so it was important that she did not deliver normally.
